VCL Components for Borland's Delphi

ThtmlViewer and TFrameViewer
The ThtmlViewer and TFrameViewer components provide an easy way to display HyperText Markup Language (HTML) documents in a Borland Delphi program. ThtmlViewer supports single HTML document display and TFrameViewer allows multiple document display within separate frames.

While HTML documents are normally associated with the Internet World Wide Web, they are also very useful for displaying all kinds of textual material such as documentation, helpfiles, etc. Graphics are easily incorporated in these documents.

The demo version of the HTML compnents, downloadable here, may be used without charge by hobbyists, students, occasional users, etc., for their own personal use.

If you are planning on using the HTML components in a product to be sold or distributed to others or for company use, you should purchase the Professional version. Here's information on purchasing the Professional version.

The graphics DLL provided with the ThtmlViewer component is a subset of the ImageLib graphics package from SkyLine Tools. For more information on the full ImageLib package and other SkyLine Tools' products, click here.

TTabListBox
TTabListBox is a simple extension to TListBox to add tabbing capabilities. Tabs are useful to divide the listbox contents into neat columns. Up to 10 tab positions may be added and the effects observed visually at design time. Includes source and help file. Free.

Download TabList.zip (12kb).

TAnimated
The TAnimated component is a visual component for use with Borland's Delphi. It allows the easy programing of simple animations such as exploding text, books being paged through, etc. Animations are drawn as bitmaps consisting of two or more frames arranged in filmstrip form. This package contains a demo, full source, and a help file which integrates with Delphi's help. The use of TAnimated is free.

Download Animate.zip (175kb) for Delphi 1.

Download Animat32.zip (181kb) for Delphi 2.

Dialog Design, Version 4.6
Here's a program which makes designing Turbo Vision dialogboxes a pleasurable experience. With Dialog Design, dialogbox controls can be added, edited, rearranged and the dialogbox itself sized, moved, etc. The program produces customizable source code and/or a resource file for your dialog.

Dialog Design produces source for Borland Pascal 7.0, Borland C++ 3.1 (Turbo Vision 1.x), and Borland C++ 4.02+ (Turbo Vision 2.0).

Usage is free to students, hobbyists, etc. If you use the program professionally, a $30 registration is requested.

Download DlgDsn46.zip (261 kb).

C++ Source Code Generators for Dialog Design
These are the executables for the Dialog Design's C++ source code generators. Strictly speaking, you don't need these as their source is included with DlgDsn46.zip. However, I've found that newcomer's to C++ often have a problem compiling and linking these programs. If you need them, here they are.

Download TV1Exe.zip (270 kb) for C++ Vers 3.1 or TV2Exe.zip (356 kb) for Borland C++ Vers 4.02+.
